Benefits of Exercise for Cancer Survivors

An Active Approach.  While it was once believed that rest and inactivity were the best approach to cancer treatment’s debilitating fatigue and side effects, new research has shown that movement is essential in combating these physical consequences. Cancer Fit is a comprehensive exercise and wellness program designed to help people tolerate cancer treatment and regain the best possible physical fitness upon completion, as well as improve overall emotional and mental health. 

Cancer Fit uses customized exercise and wellness routines to help participants achieve the research-supported benefits such as:

Adult Programs:

Cancer Fit Adult Exercise and Wellness - A dynamic, safe and effective exercise and wellness program geared toward empowering adult cancer survivors to rediscover or resume a healthy active lifestyle.

Footsteps Forward- A gentle and restorative exercise program specifically designed to help survivors heal and find relief from some of the symptoms of foot neuropathy.

Child Programs:

Play Fit Stay Fit Exercise Assistance Scholarship - A fun and comprehensive exercise and fitness program geared towards alleviating the late effects of childhood cancer and helping kids feel like kids again. 

MVP Sports DraftThis special program matches childhood cancer survivors residing in Southern California with a high school or college sports team for a season.
